Weekly groups
One English and one Afrikaans group for each of Grades 10, 11 and 12.
Tutoring options
Grade 10–12 tutoring in Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry), with an Impaq-focused small-group programme and limited online one-on-one support.
Impaq homeschool programme
The programme is structured around the Impaq curriculum so learners can spend time working through the actual Physical Science they are expected to understand and apply.
One English and one Afrikaans group for each of Grades 10, 11 and 12.
Small enough for questions, discussion and individual attention within the group.
Longer sessions create space to explain, practise and work through full problems.
Runs during school terms, with exam-preparation workshops offered separately.
What happens in class
The goal is not to memorise a route through one familiar question. Learners practise recognising what a question is asking and choosing an approach they understand.
Break down concepts, identify gaps and make sure the method itself makes sense.
Use real Physics and Chemistry problems to build reasoning rather than pattern-matching.
Practise unfamiliar questions so learners can analyse what is being asked and respond with confidence.
Curricula
The small-group programme is specifically for Impaq learners. Limited one-on-one tutoring can support learners following Impaq, CAPS, IEB and other curricula depending on availability.
Upper Highway, KZN
Cognitive Minds is based in Assagay and serves families across the Upper Highway area, including Hillcrest, Kloof, Gillitts, Waterfall, Watercrest and surrounding areas. Online one-on-one tutoring is also available.
